Controversial games
'Bully'
Format of choice: PS2
Released: 2006
The game takes place in a fictional English reform school, where you live out the highs and (more often) lows of the school yard. Here the motto is - "Canis Canem Edit" - Latin for "Dog Eat Dog".
Groups such as Bullying Online and Peaceholics have criticised the game for glorifying or trivialising school bullying. In the UK, the controversy reached as far as the Houses of Parliament when Labour MP Keith Vaz called for a ban.
