The best beat'em ups ever made
Tekken Tag
Year of release: 1999
Platform of choice: PS2
Many Tekken purists would argue that the original game in this series is easily the best fighting game ever made.
Although the first game is highly enjoyable it has its flaws. However, anything it couldn't do very well was soon rectified in the string of sequels to follow. Come Tekken Tag, the franchise had matured and etched its mark in gaming history.
Tag was little more than a 'best of Tekken' but it really highlighted the franchises skilled craftsmanship. And it managed to add and excellent and innovative four player option.
