The 'Silent Hill' series has been scaring the bejesus out of games fans since 1999. The game pits players against grotesque paranormal enemies in a fog-shrouded environment.

In 2006, Sony Pictures released a full-length 'Silent Hill' film. It was a truly terrifying movie in as much as the script, acting and effects were all pitiful.
