Blocking junk email

At Supanet, we take the problem of junk email very seriously. With this in mind, we have made it easy to block specific email addresses and domains.

When you sign in to webmail, you will see a list of messages in your inbox.

If any of these messages constitute junk email, you have the option to block messages from this sender or from the domain from which they were sent.

Be careful with this second option - inadvertently blocking a popular domain could impact on other emails you would like to receive.

To automatically block all future emails from a certain email address or domain tick the box next to the relevant email or emails and then click the 'Block' button.

You will then be given the option of blocking all future emails from that specific sender or all messages from the domain, for example, @mailclub.net.

Choose which option you would prefer, tick the relevant box, then click the 'Block' button. You will see a message confirming that the blocking has been successful.

All email selected for blocking will automatically go to your 'Junk Mail' folder.

Retrieving junk mail:

To retrieve any emails accidentally classed as junk mail, go to your 'Junk Mail' folder, tick the box next to the email, then select the folder you wish to move this email to from the dropdown menu headed 'Put in folder...'.

This will move the email back to your inbox or selected folders. The email address will, however, remain blocked.

Unblocking an email address or domain:

If you accidentally block an address or domain, you can remove the block easily through the 'Options' menu.

Click on 'Options', then click on 'Create filter / Junk filter'. You will see a list of the addresses and domains that are currently blocked from your inbox.

Select the filter you wish to remove by ticking the box next to it. Now click the 'Delete' button to remove it. Repeat for other filters if necessary.

Email from this address or domain will now appear in your inbox as normal.
