On Saturday night, she was greatly rewarded for her efforts. Alba, a mother of two and the founder or eco-friendly baby firm, ‘The Honor Company’ was given a Green Parent Award.
Ian Somerhalder, on the other hand was honoured for helping to protect the world’s animal world and eco-systems. He was handed the Futures Award.
The annual event, which was hosted by Malin Akerman, also recognized the contribution of Dr Seuss’ ‘The Lorax’ cast for educating viewers about environmental issues and their importance.
Several Hollywood stars showed their support as reported by Female First. Some of those who attended the event were Julie Bowen, Paula Abdul, Emily VanCamp, Torrey Devitto, Jessica Capshaw, Jessican Szohr, Amy Smart, James Van Der Beek, Kat Graham, Daryl Hannah, and Wilmer Valderama.
At last year’s Environmental Media Awards, the biggest winners were Justin Timberlake, Pierce Brosnan, and John Travolta. Reportedly they were honoured for their impressive effort in making sure that our global climate will get back on track.
