John Terry went from a London court to the deck of a luxury yacht now that he is officially cleared of charges accusing him of racist abuse. The captain of Chelsea was spotted relaxing and celebrating his court victory on a boat together with his wife Toni and her parents.
Terry was cleared of the racially aggravated public order offence he was accused of by Anton Ferdinand. The Westminster Magistrate’s Court sent the footballer home last Friday with a cause for celebration. And Terry did not waste time and went straight to celebrating.
Terry was spotted on the boat wearing a red T-shirt and a pair of pink swim shorts, looking completely relaxed. His wife wore a white bandeau bikini and looked just as at ease as his husband. They were also seen enjoying drinks.
The relaxed Terry was a far cry from the Terry who had to attend several court trials and have legal counsel meetings for hours last week. This followed after Terry was accused of directing racist comments at Ferdinand after the latter teased Terry about his affair with his team-mate’s girlfriend.
Terry had admitted, and was backed by witnesses, that he had called Ferdinand some racist labels, but insisted that he was simply repeating the words after he was falsely accused of saying them.
