Katie Holmes, and her daughter with actor Tom Cruise, was involved in a minor car crash in New York City Monday evening. Reports surfaced after photos of a black Mercedes sedan said to belong to Ms. Holmes circulated the web.
The mother and daughter were not seen at the scene, but according to reports, the accident occurred after Katie picked her daughter up from Chelsea Piers in Manhattan. Suri, 6, had just finished her gymnastics class in the vicinity. It is not clear, however, whether the duo was inside the vehicle when the accident occurred.
No injuries were reported in the accident.
Police who arrived at the scene focused their attention on the S550 Mercedes, which suffered a major dent and several scratches on the rear driver side.
It was reportedly hit by a Volvo dump truck operated by Classic Sanitation Recycling New York Corp.
The police did not give a confirmation regarding the accident when contacted. Likewise, Classic Sanitation Recycling New York Corp has not released any comment.
Earlier in the day, Katie was seen in Chelsea Pier holding her daughter’s hand as they walked along. Katie and Suri have often been seen in the area for Suri’s gymnastics classes and to shop and see friends.
Aside from gymnastics class, Katie has reportedly enrolled Suri in the prestigious Convent of the Sacred Heart School, an all-girls Catholic school.
