Kristen Stewart has reportedly pulled out of the London premiere of her new film ‘On The Road’. A source says that the actress is too embarrassed to appear in public after her cheating scandal, which broke up her long-term relationship with boyfriend Robert Pattinson.
The source added: “After everything that has been said, and in light of the revelations that she cheated on Robert with director Rupert Sanders, she’s running scared at the moment.”
But the source also said that that’s not the only reason why Kristen couldn’t make it to the premiere. Initial plans for the August 16 premiere were for Kristen to walk down the red carpet with her co-star Tom Sturridge, who happens to be a close friend of her ex.
The source said: “There’s also the dilemma of standing next to her co-star Tom Sturridge. He’s very close to Rob and Kristen thinks it would be awkward for her to promote the movie on the red carpet alongside him.”
Kristen, however, is said to be very proud of her work in ‘On The Road’. The film is an adaptation of Jack Kerouac’s classic novel, and Kristen apparently grew up reading the author’s work.
“This is a production she always wanted to star in. She wants her performance and this film to be recognized for what it is – a great adaptation of a classic book.” Thus, Kristen has decided to keep away from the limelight to avoid detracting attention from the movie itself.
