Charles and Patricia Lester - 'The Wings of a Dove' (1997)
The liquid velvets and shimmering silk pleats worn by Helena Bonham Carter are the work of the Lesters.
Known for their exceptional fabrics and rich Renaissance colours, film costume designer Sandy Powell hired the Lesters to create the costumes worn by the stars.
Other work in film includes dresses worn by Helen Mirren in Greenfingers, as well as individual pieces which appeared in 'Great Expectations', 'Grumpier Old Men', 'Caravagio' and 'Hamlet'.
Their creations are also popular with stars such as Barbara Streisand and Elizabeth Taylor as well as being a staple resource for the opera world
