Jean Paul Gaultier - 'The Fifth Element' (1997)
French fashion designer Gaultier let his imagination go wild in the sci-fi fantasy, action-packed comedy thriller 'The Fifth Element'.
The cone bras of the air hostesses and bondage bandage worn by the main character Leeloo (Milla Jovovich), were all part of the 954 costumes provided by Gauliter.
As in previous films, including 'The Cook, The Thief, His Wife and Her Lover', 'Kilka' and 'The City of Lost Children', Gaultier assumed control of all the costumes he created, personally checking the 900 extras on 'The Fifth Element' before shooting and specifically creating items for the leads.
