The word patronising springs to mind when a dreaded phrase like, 'come on love' or 'pass us that darling' is uttered. It's not the words themselves, it the way they are used, almost making you sound like you have to do something because you're inferior. The same feeling comes from baby talk when a guy mocks what we're trying to say. Seriously guys, you have to stop that one.
