Do men want commitment?
I've always believed that trying to get men to talk about the 'future' or 'the relationship' is a no-go area. You will only scare them off so you should wait until he brings the subject up.
I'll always be faithful to a man I love but I'm not particularly bothered about commitment like moving in together or getting married.
My question is: Do men actually want commitment at all, or would they prefer to stay free if they had the choice?
Men do want commitment - or at least the ones worth making the effort for do. It shouldn't come down to a choice between commitment and being 'free', so stop thinking of it in those terms. If you put the decision in those sort of terms, he will too.
It sounds like you have nothing to be afraid of. Most men aren't so much afraid of commitment as they are of being smothered or crowded by their partner. You seem quite easy-going on matters like co-habiting or marriage, so just make that clear.
You'll find that commitment comes when your fella feels he can look forward to the years ahead with you, without having to worry about you trying to push him into things.
