Why would a man want to look at porn?

Can you please tell me why a self-proclaimed happily married man would want to look at internet porn (naked adult women type)?

He tells me it's because he sometimes feels unappreciated, wanted to fit in with his co-workers and adds that he wanted to learn some new things from it to spice up our sex life. He also does admit its an addiction and is trying really hard to get over it.

His father had the same problem (ewww!) and SEEMS to have gotten rid of this problem. (His father seemed like such a decent and humble guy-same as my husband!) But, still, he tells me it's quite commonplace for a man to look at porn. Is it?! I am totally hurt and disgusted.

I am having major trust issues now. I feel like I have been cheated on! He has lusted over other women! We've only been married for 6 years.

Am I that boring to him? Yeah, our sex life isn't the greatest but, dang it! WE LIVE WITH MY MOTHER in the next room! And, what am I supposed to tell our daughter when she starts dating? That its normal for men to look at strange, naked women doing strange, disgusting things?! To suck it up and accept the fact that no matter how much a man says he loves you that it is normal for him to lust after other women?

Help me get over this because I just can't accept this behavior.

Fact: Men (and some women) enjoy looking at pornography and have done for many years before the Internet was around. Why do you think the most popular newspaper in the country has a naked girl on page 3 every day.

I wouldn't worry too much about your husband looking at porn on the Internet, it doesn't make him some sort of monster.

The trouble you have is that you view porn as being dirty, disgusting, perverted...etc. Well it isn't. It's completely natural for sexually active adults, including women, to look at porn and enjoy it.

And as for what you tell your daughter, tell her that it IS completely normal for men and women to look at porn, and to do so doesn't mean you are a disgusting pervert.
