The ancient Egyptians' method of making lipstick included the use of bromine mannite. Just to note, the same substance is today shipped in lead-lined steel drums due to its high toxicity levels. The repeated exposure to bromine will most likely lead to some skin burning and over time, kidney failure and brain damage in the women who used it.

Luckily for ladies today there are many different shades of red lipstick which are perfectly safe to use as many times you like.
