Aspiring actresses could get the chance to walk in the footsteps of te likes of Kylie and star in Aussie favourite 'Neighbours' as the soap prepares to celebrate its 25th year anniversary.

Fans of the long-running show are being given the opportunity to star as new character and friend of Mal Kennedy, Poppy Rodgers, who will live in the Kennedy household with Karl and Susan in a four-week prize.

Video auditions, using the script from the channel Five website, will be uploaded via YouTube. Producers will then choose the final five and the public will vote for the final two. The finalists will then be put through their paces before a winner is chosen.
