The smallest horse in the world was Black Beauty, a miniature black mare measuring 47 cm (18.75 in) tall and weighing 18.8 kg (41.5 lb).
That was until 2006, when the aptly named Thumbelina miniature horse, stole the title at just 17 inches tall.
