The original Queen of Crime, and creator of Poirot, has sold more copies worldwide then any other individual writer. Her work, filled with unsuspected twist endings, has been translated into more languages than Shakespeare.

She devised the basics for the classic English detective novel and now Christie Week has been set up in her honour - from her birthday on September 15 up to September 20 - in Torquay (her birthplace) to celebrate her fiction and film adaptations, among plenty more treats for fans.
