Businesses that survived Dragons' Den
Destination Board Games
Rachel Lowe's appearance on Dragons Den was nothing short of a disaster after she was accused of not even knowing her own business figures.
Her property board game, Destination London, was also considered to be overshadowed by Monopoly. Rachel's game has player's pieces as miniature taxis - the idea of the game is to collect fares from famous destinations across the city.
Undeterred, Rachel launched Destination London in Hamleys and the stock that had been ordered sold out by 5pm on the first day! Within 2 days her game was in the Top 10, and by November 18 Destination London had reached Hamleys No 1 spot, out-selling Monopoly!
