Fascinating St Patrick's Day facts
Not the luckiest of the Irish
St. Patrick's Day marks a Roman Catholic feast day for Ireland's patron saint, who died in the 5th century despite actually being born in Britain.
Irish brigands kidnapped St. Patrick when he was 16-years-old and subsequently sold him as a slave, where he served six years in the county of Antrim until he escaped to Gaul, in present-day France. He later returned to preach.
