Am I overwatering my house palm?
I'm not sure if I'm over watering or under watering a house palm because the leaves have turned yellow. It's quite an established plant - kept by the patio door - it's not cold and it has plenty of light. Have you any ideas what could be causing the leaves to turn yellow?
Assuming that you havent over-watered, the most likely reason is vine-weevil. The only way to find out is to examine the roots. Try easing the whole plant out of the pot and check the soil for small white grub-like creatures. You can get a proprietary brand of vine-weevil killer from any good garden centre. You must follow the directions precisely but it is very effective indeed. I hope this is of some help.Search the web
