How can I deter badgers from my garden?
Other than an electric fence any ideas how to deter a badger from my garden?
Because the badger is a protected species Wendy there are very few viable options open to you. You could borrow a large dog and allow it to run in the garden at night or set up a 'loud noise system' though your neighbours may not like that idea. Probably the only real hope would be to set up a perimeter of wire with numerous tin cans dangling from it which might startle the animals as they try to invade. Joe has had similar problems and his suggestions are quite unprintable - and certainly illegal. A local builder has been forced to integrate cat flaps into fences round the new buildings in order to allow badgers free access, so you are not alone in your difficulties.
