How long vegetable seeds can be kept?
Can you offer any advice as to how long vegetable seeds can be kept? I have some left over from last year, some of which appear to be germinating OK others are not doing anything. I have seen some reference to seeds, which must be used in the year stated on the packet, but that others will keep for 2, 3 or more years.
Normally you really have to stick with what it says on the packet. In the past, being a good Scot I have tried to use left-over seed and it has never been worth it. Poor or no germination and months of wasted growing time is the usual result.
