How tall will a balsam tree grow?
Ive just inherited a balsam tree, grown from cutting, now 5' high. It was in a pot but I have since put it in the ground - Please can you advise me on how to care for it and tell me how high etc it will grow?
I am going to assume that you have the Populus Balsamifera which will grow to 30-40 if left to its own devices. It will tolerate almost any garden soil except shallow chalk and likes plenty of moisture. Shouldnt give you any trouble as long as you keep it well away from the house so that the roots wont cause any damage.
