We've recently had new turf put down
We've recently had new turf put down in the garden and although it is being watered every night and also fed with Miracle Grow the grass seems to be going yellow, do you think it is being over watered or what could be the problem. It has been laid down now for 2 weeks also the soil wasn't particularly good should this make a difference?
Not the soil. Over-watering seems to be the problem. Cut back on that because it may be that you have a problem with drainage. Did you check on that before having the lawn re-turfed? Have you checked to see where the lawn drains to, as it could be there is some obstruction? Also the lawn would benefit greatly from spiking i.e. pushing the tines of a fork deep into the soil and if you can reduce the moisture in the soil I think you will find a real improvement in the grass.
