The Polish-born presenter has become an internet sensation for all the wrong reasons.

Not knowing the camera was about to switch to him, Schafernaker rudely gestured with his middle finger after BBC News 24 anchor Simon McCoy sarcastically quipped "Will will have the weather forecast in a minute, and of course it will be 100% accurate." He then tried to cover up the mishap by pretending he was scratching his chin, but the look of horror on his face says it all!

He may get a dressing down from the corporation but the stormy sees will soon calm as he's not the only weather reporter to fall foul live on air....
