Marks and Spencer has announced plans to start selling a new hybrid fruit, the so-called 'papple'.
A mix between a pear and an apple, the new treat i said to look and taste like an apple, but has the skin of a pear and officially belongs to the pear family.
However, the fruit is so new that it hasn't been given an official name yet and is being referred to as T109 until one is decided.
Marks and Spencer fruit expert, Shazad Rehman, told Sky News:
"This is one of the most exciting new varieties of fruit we have seen for several years.
"We know our customers like to try new and interesting fruit and we hope this will be something they will really enjoy."
This is the latest in a number of fruit hybrids to be released, following Waitrose's latest addition, the pineberry.
The fruit looks like a white strawberry, but actually tastes like a pineapple.
The T109 is grown in New Zealand and is a cross between European and Asian pear varieties, however Marks and Spencer reportedly hopes to be able to grow the fruit in the UK from 2015.
You can grab a T109 in Marks and Spencer stores from next week for £1.
