While we may not see any actual volcanoes within the UK, it's the ash that comes from an erupted volcano that causes the real problems as the recent Icelandic eruption has shown. It affects our weather systems, causing epic storms which are potentially fatal and the clouds of ash can down planes by clogging their engines.
