Out with the old... and in with the young!
In with: Alesha Dixon - 'Strictly Come Dancing'
Arlene Phillips' replacement was none other than Strictly's 2007 winner, Alesha Dixon. After being hailed as "Europe's answer to Beyonce" (by ageing legend Bruce Forsyth), the singer-dancer was proudly put on the judges' podium to "refresh" the show.
However, not everyone was so pleased. As well as ministers and the general public disapproving of the move, the professional dancers on the show were outraged that a former contestant would be judging their moves. Who can blame them?
