These creatures are most active at night and love to burrow which make them major pests to plantings. They also like to nibble bark so wrap your trees with a garden cloth but do this a few inches under the soil line.

Remove food, water and shelter to create an environment they won't enjoy, but if all else fails a rat trap is the most effective solution.
