Political correctness gone mad!
Fairytales
Even our traditional fairytales have not escaped the PC brigade. Time old stories that many a child read under the covers at bedtime have been dropped in favour of more politically correct ones.
Such classics as 'Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs' are apparently now collecting dust, according to theBabywebsite.com, because the 'dwarf' reference is not PC. 'Rapunzel' was considered too dark and 'Little Red Riding Hood' was no longer read by parents as she walks through the woods alone.
Isn't the point of these stories that she shouldn't walk through the woods on her own and the 'dwarfs' in 'Snow White are the good guys?
