The 10 most useless celeb-inspired health treatments
10. Overnight health farm stay (£185)
As a nation, we have a fascination with the lives of celebrities. And when it comes to new regimes, there's guaranteed success if it is said to have star following. But as we try to look as beautiful as the rich and famous (forgetting of course the hours and experts it took to get there), are we really being conned?
A new report from Health insurance provider Aviva thinks so. The company has named the 10 most ineffective alternative treatments of the stars as voted for by GPs.
At No 10 is overnight stays at health farms. A visit to one of these spa resorts is a staple activity for any celeb who has graced the red carpet or appeared onscreen. Aviva report that a typical cost for a health farm break is £185.
Hampshire's spa Chatney's Forest Mere is said to be a favourite with the Beckhams and This Morning presenter Holly Willoughby, it also boasts the UK’s first thalassotherapy pool.
