The dangers of social networking
aka-aki
With most modern mobiles now able to surf the internet easily and effectively, it was an obvious step to expand social networking in that direction - a step the Berlin based company aka-aki have taken.
The danger:aka-aki allows you to identify other users in your vicinity and to check their profiles with the intention of starting a conversation. In a modern age where harassment is a major problem and personal data is becoming harder and harder to protect, this could well prove dangerous.
aka-aki is currently in trail stages in Germany. It is claiming to focus upon business users where information would be safer, however, it is currently being trailed by 3,000 teenagers.
Estimated users:3,000+
