Curious as to what their school friends were up to, Steve and Julie Pankhurst from Barnet created Friends Reunited. It quickly became popular and was sold to ITV for 12m and now has dating and genealogies spin-off sites as well.
The danger:Life was hard enough in school for some without having unwanted acquaintances track you down on the internet. And as the issue of new media bullying via SMS, email and the like becomes more relevant this danger becomes greater.
