3. DNA Double Helix
DNA was first isolated by the Swiss physician Friedrich Miescher in 1869, when he discovered a microscopic substance in the pus of discarded surgical bandages.
However in 1953, James D. Watson and Francis Crick unveiled their double helix model to explain the code for life on Earth.
