The world's strangest buildings
Capital Gate
Abu Dhabi's Capital Gate has not been as weathered as the Leaning Tower of Pisa but it certainly looks like it may have been. Intentionally sloping sideways (at an 18 degree angle), this 35-storey tower holds the bizarre Guinness record of being named as the “World’s Furthest Leaning Manmade Tower”, inclining nearly five times more than the infamous Italian belltower.
By staggering floor plates from the 12th floor up, the designers created a powerful vista which "provides no symmetry so it amazes inside and outside".
