It is widely considered that the great pyramids of Ancient Egypt were built by slaves; however, new evidence shows this may not be the case.

Scientists have discovered graves of the pyramid builders buried near to the pharaohs , suggesting that they were in fact greatly respected for their work and bestowed this great honour as a symbol of that.
