Exclusive clip from Russell Kane's latest stand-up
Russell Kane is set to release a DVD of his Edinburgh Comedy Award and Barry Award winning show Smokescreens and Castles on 7 November and we've got an exclusive clip from the show.
Smokescreens and Castles is inspired by Russell's childhood home; the only council house in his street which had been privately bought – by his Dad.
This attracted the ire of the neighbours, and when Dave Kane built an extension, their home was mockingly christened The Castle by incensed Enfield folk.
One room at a time, Russell whisks us through The Castle, blowing away the smoke of history in a whirlwind of high-energy contortions and pant-spraying hilarious routines.
After returning to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe this summer with a critically acclaimed new live stand-up show, Manscaping, he is now performing at major venues nationwide including London’s Hammersmith Apollo.
Smokescreens and Castles is available on DVD from 7 November.
