High-flying air rage stars
Jonathan Rhys Meyers
For the third time in recent years, 'The Tudors' heartthrob Jonathan Rhys Meyers has been barred from getting on a flight. He was stopped from boarding a plane at New York's JFK airport for being drunk after a vodka session in the first class lounge.
When confronted, he hurled racist insults, prompting him to be swiftly banned by United Airlines.
The first incident of air rage was in November 2007 when, following an appearance on an Irish talk-show to promote his new film 'August Rush', Rhys Meyers staggered into Dublin Airport, apparently having had a few too many. After being less than polite to check-in staff, he was barred from boarding a the London-bound flight.
Meyers then refused requests from airport security to calm down who then called the police. He was then charged with being drunk in public and breaching the peace. But that didn't stop him going ballistic in Paris in June 2009 either.
