10 of the greatest ever screen car chases
The Blues Brothers (1980)
One of the few musicals that men tend to love, 'The Blues Brothers' held the record for the most number of cars crashed on film at the time of its release. Hitting speeds of over 100mph, the final ridiculously over the top chase sees the Blues Brothers (Dan Aykroyd and John Belushi) evade the law through Chicago in the now infamous Blues mobile - a 1974 Dodge Monaco
But more iconic than the epic end chase is the one earlier on, in which the duo drive around and then through a shopping mall, trashing everything in sight while the cops struggle to keep up. While screaming past the stores, they do a spot of window shopping, exclaiming that "this place has everything!".
