McLaren MP4 12C
Price:£150,000
Dubbed 'an F1 car for the road', the gull-winged beast was launched in September 2009 by UK racing specialists McLaren. They're looking to take on Ferrari's stake at mass production powerhouse road cars.
The £150,000 McLaren MP4-12C is the brainchild of McLaren and F1 team boss Ron Dennis, who wanted to produce an 'affordable' supercar with the greenest credentials in its class. Never ones to brag, they say it's the world's most efficient internal combustion engine and a pinnacle of British hi-tech engineering.
The new 3.8 litre V8 twin turbo 600bhp McLaren two-seater will accelerate from rest to 60mph in just 3.4 seconds, but that's still not as fast as they'll transfer the funds from your account.
