In 2004 staff at the Harvey Nichols store in Manchester created the 'Dazzle' cocktail, which contains a diamond ring in place of the traditional olive. The drink has to be escorted to diners' tables flanked by security guards, in case anyone should mistake it for a complimentary shot and down it in one.
