For generations of students, OAPs, young mums and boy racers, Ford Fiestas have been a reliable friend. But sadly, it could be the end of the road for this famous little car. Ford is considering dropping the name in favour of a jazzier alternative like 'Genesis', 'Isis' or 'Phoenix'.
A spokesman for the car giant said: "There is a strong tide in favour of something new. Our younger target audience were not all born in 1976 when the Fiesta arrived, so heritage isn't an issue."
