It's powered by chocolate and wine fuel, steered by a wheel made from carrots and has a shell made from potatoes and salvaged aircraft panels, but the Worldfirst goes from 0 to 60 faster than any other Formula Three car. It's also the greenest in its class, and tipped to be the future of sustainable racing.

The aptly named Worldfirst, a product of Warwick University, cost £500,000 and can hit 135mph. It will made its track debut at Brands Hatch in October.
