The Uno
Fuel: Rechargeable battery
Co2 (g/km): Zero
A young Canadian inventor has created a rather bizarre yet totally eco-friendly method of transport - the Uno. With a two and a half hour battery life before it needs to be recharged from a mains socket and only one switch - to power it - this crazy looking bike could be the answer to congestion and road pollution.
With a top speed of 25mph the bike works on gyroscopic technology and essentially auto-balances itself, making riding the machine much easier to use than it looks. The rider accelerates by leaning forward and the wheels are completely independent, allowing the bike to turn on a sixpence.
