It's the car that put the 'Z' into 'Z Cars', another iconic British crime drama. This time set in the gritty north west of England, the show chronicled the cops who used Ford Zephyrs and Zodiacs (although the Zodiac was seldom adopted in real life).

The show lasted a phenomenal 667 episodes enough time to make a nation come to love the colossal American car. But it really found its home in Lancashire - where law enforcement swore by them during the 50s and 60s - especially the MkIII with all of its six seat, six cylinder glory.
