Jeremy Clarkson's gems
Becoming the (joint) first man to reach the North Pole in a car
Clarkson and co-presenter James May secured a place in the history books when they became the first to reach the Magnetic North Pole in a car for the 'Top Gear' special from July 2007.
While Richard Hammond was trailing behind on a dog and sleigh, Clarkson and May enjoyed gin and tonics in the warmth and relative safety of their truck.
Clarkson also designed a toilet which hung from the back of the truck which he used to lure James May into the prospect of a comfortable toilet break in the wilderness only to drive away with him still attached.
