The magnificent Mini
Is the new Mini concept a big mistake?
To celebrate 50 years of larger than life service and cult approval, the two sweater concept coupe has been unveiled, billed as the most dynamic Mini ever created.
With a 211bhp turbo-charged engine, it’s a far cry from the original model’s tame 34bhhp, but what’s really getting the purists riled up is its new, muscular appearance.
With boy-racer style looks, go-faster stripes, a low roofline and a rear-roof spoiler, the coupe may signal a change of direction for Mini if the concept goes into general production. Details are scarce, but it’s not the only trick they’ve got up their sleeves.
