After more than 60 years of buzzing around, production of the classic Vespa PX has come to an end. The design has fallen foul of the new European motoring laws as the two stroke engine does not meet emissions guidelines.

The PX was the scooter of choice for Mods and celebrities alike. Driven by Phil Daniels, Louis Armstrong, Charlton Heston and more, its demise is a tragic blow to a motoring world already deprived of the classic Mini and Beetle.
