What to do and where to avoid this bank holiday

Bank holiday roads travel - road - travelling - conjestion - motorway - traffic - gridlock

According to VisitEngland, Brits aren’t going away this bank holiday. Instead, they’re discovering all of the local charms over the bumper weekend.

Perhaps what’s keeping the nation put is the prospect of scorching barbecue weather conditions, which may result in packed beaches and back gardens, as four out of five Brits have decided not to go abroad this year.

The south of England will see the most of the sunshine, but that isn’t warm enough for those who bagged some last minute flights. Their main holiday spots are Majorca, Ibiza, mainland Spain, Turkey, Portugal and the Greek islands.
