Are you thinking about sex?
The often-used statistic that men think about sex every 7 seconds has turned out to bea fantasy.
It seems that the average man only fantasises about sex once a day, which may come as a surprise to the writers in glossy women's magazines who have been portraying men as sex-hungry animals for years.
Now, a team of university psychologists aims to debunk the myths and produce a definitive international study.
Are our sexual preferences born or bred? Does pornography reflect our fantasies or shape them? The survey hopes to find out.
The Sexual Thoughts Project is an anonymous online survey for those aged 18 to 90 and nothing is off-limits.
Those taking part in the new survey are assured there is no way they can be identified and can therefore be as descriptive as they like.
Fantasies involving sadism and group sex could possibly be discussed because the researchers have no real idea about how routine or disturbing men's fantasies can be.
But it is not all about the men, women won't be escaping this investigation into the sexual mind because plans are in place to extend the research to the female fantasy in the near future.
